Rowan University’s Department of Campus Planning and Construction, in collaboration with Mantua Township and the Gloucester County Freeholders, engaged SSP Architects to lead a master plan study evaluating the potential development of the former fossil quarry site. SSP’s work, conducted alongside civil engineer Bach Associates, PC, focused on creating a phased, environmentally responsive master plan that integrates sustainable design strategies to support a new Science Research, Discovery, and Interpretive Center, intended to establish an internationally recognized Center of Research operated by Rowan University.

SSP Architects provided a full suite of planning and design services, including site assessments of zoning and land use regulations, utilities, stormwater and groundwater conditions, topography, and terrain.
