The Firm

The Roles

SSP is looking to expand our talented team with people who aspire to excellence in all aspects of their work. Specifically, we are looking to fill a number of positions at various levels, ranging from architectural interns to project coordinators. Individuals in this position will be involved in all aspects of bringing projects to reality – from the initial design concepts through construction.

We are passionate and collaborative people who believe the strength and success of our firm comes from the quality of our team members. Therefore, candidates must have the following education and experience:

Project Manager –

  • Bachelor or Masters degree in Architecture
  • US Architectural License (NJ preferred)
  • Minimum 10-12 years of experience in commercial (non-residential) design and construction
  • Technical experience in all phases of design, documentation, detailing and construction
  • Strong client interaction skills and staff mentoring abilities
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD is a must; REVIT, Photoshop and SketchUp preferred

Project Architect –

  • Bachelor or Masters degree in Architecture
  • US Architectural License (NJ preferred)
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in commercial (non-residential) design and construction
  • Technical experience in all phases of design, documentation, detailing and construction
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD is a must; REVIT, Photoshop and SketchUp preferred

Project Coordinator / Job Captain –

  • Bachelor or Masters degree in Architecture
  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in commercial (non-residential) design and construction
  • Understanding of the various phases of design, documentation, detailing and construction
  • Active pursuit of AXP and licensing is a plus
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD is a must; REVIT, Photoshop and SketchUp preferred

Candidates for all positions shall possess the following qualities and knowledge –

  • Self-starter with the ability to handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Positive attitude
  • Desire to improve professionally on a daily basis
  • Ability to foster positive relationships between the design team, clients, consultants and contractors
