The Flemington Police Department has been searching for a new location to house its headquarters. SSP has been working with the department and the Borough of Flemington to perform feasibility studies and initial planning and design layouts to determine the viability of various spaces and locations being considered for the move.

With options ranging from new ground-up construction to adaptive reuse of former retail, office, or residential spaces, the Borough has been reviewing several different concepts and layouts, each time with the goal of achieving the move in the most cost-effective way, to minimize the use of tax dollars for the project. SSP’s services have ranged from accompanying the Borough on initial walkthroughs of potential spaces, to performing code reviews and providing design options for existing buildings, to preparing scopes of work for initial construction on the Borough’s finalized location.

While external forces have delayed the execution of a final plan and the actual move, the Borough is much closer now to developing their final solution and continues to partner with SSP as they make progress on their journey.
