AIA Project Manager

The Innovator

An innovator and consensus builder, Cory always seeks creative, timely and cost-effective ways to bring new building and renovation projects successfully to the finish line. He enjoys building close relationships with project owners, advocating on their behalf, and motivating the design team to work seamlessly with him to solve problems.

During his tenure at SSP, Cory has developed improved processes to strengthen client services, mentor new personnel, and enhance client communication and guidance. He has successfully managed significant SSP projects for numerous New Jersey school districts, including one of his favorite projects, the creation of the award-winning Interactive Media Center at the Hunterdon Central Regional High School.

Cory excels in managing major projects, best reflected in his oversight of SSP’s New Jersey Department of Transportation Assessment Project that entailed oversight of over 5,100 staff hours and resulted in an exhaustive 8,000-page report evaluating the Department’s design needs for its hundreds of facilities, and the maintenance required to extend their life expectancy.

Growing up in Nashville, Cory found it awe inspiring to closely observe the built and natural world around him. Architecture always fascinated him – knowing from an early age this was the career he wanted to pursue. After graduating college with a BA in Architecture, he moved to the New Jersey-New York metropolitan area to enter the architectural design field. When not working, he enjoys going to museums and watching new movies. And when he has some down time, he enjoys watching videos on the latest developments in aeronautics or innovations in the architectural world.
