SSP Architectural Group, Inc. is working with the Newark Public Schools to address ongoing emergent projects within the District’s five wards on an on-call basis. The firm has completed improvements to the Dayton Elementary School and Quitman Elementary School, to render both facilities ADA compliant, and their sites safe.

At the Dayton Street School, SSP acheived ADA compliance via redesigned exterior stairs, ramps and an elevator lift.

At the Quitman Street School, SSP is assisting to correct significant soils settlement problems that are the result of poorly executed demolitions and infill of a previous era. Additional work within the District has included design at the Technology High School for the renovation of multiple classrooms into state-of-theart science laboratory spaces.
